Map of the areal assessment of vulnerability in the Phlegraean Fields intervention zone
This map displays the findings from the first "areal" assessment of the vulnerability of private buildings in the areas most impacted by the bradyseismic phenomenon. This assessment covers the municipalities of Pozzuoli, Bacoli, and Naples (intervention area), as outlined in the Extraordinary Plan for Vulnerability Assessment (Article 2 of Decree-Law 140/2023).
The map is made up of 442 square cells, each assigned a different colour based on the estimated concentration of vulnerable buildings within that area. The classification of these cells is based on data collected from an external inspection of 9,078 buildings and holds solely statistical-probabilistic value. This inspection was carried out by qualified and trained experts, who gathered information on the characteristics of private buildings, which can be viewed on a dedicated dashboard.
Buildings located in cells classified as having a "high" or "medium concentration of vulnerable buildings" will be prioritized for inspections requested by citizens through the platform. These inspections, carried out by qualified experts, will include visual assessments of both the exterior and interior of the buildings.
To find the cell where your building is located, type your address in the search bar at the top right of the map.
From the "Manage layers" button at the top left, it is possible to select and manage the information displayed on the map, hiding, centering, or raising the opacity of each "layer" or information layer related to the "intervention area" or "vulnerability." In addition, with the "Base map" feature, you can change the background map (which by default is OpenStreetMap).
You can filter the display of cells based on the selected concentration of vulnerable buildings using the "Filter by concentration" menu. After choosing your desired concentration from the menu, click the 'Filter' button to apply the filter to the map. If you want to cancel the filter, simply click the "x" button.
In the upper right corner of the map, there are two buttons, "Measure distances and areas" and "Print," which enable you to take measurements on the map and print them. Additionally, the data displayed on the map can be downloaded in an open format (geoJSON) by accessing the "Information" window at the map's bottom center.
